Luci Sheehan – PRESIDENT – STRATEGIC SALES AND MARKETING INITIATIVES LLC

Luci Sheehan has been President of her consulting firm Strategic Sales & Marketing Initiatives since 2009, spearheading clients’ efforts to pioneer new products and ideas by driving results in the sales and marketing functions for CPG and Technology sectors. She spent 8 years with P&G from 1975-1983, advancing from Boston PS&D Sales Representative and District Field Representative to Unit Manager in NY PS&D, Special Assignment in PS&D Sales Merchandising, and Era Brand. She was P&G’s first female District Manager, leading NY PS&D (1981-83). After P&G, she built her career leading sales and marketing functions in consumer products, media, research, technology sectors and consulting.

Luci brings extensive experience with non-profit organizations, having served on multiple boards. Prior to joining the Foundation Board, she was a Foundation grant champion for three grants given to Street Business School (formerly Bead for Life), that supported expansion of business skill training, primarily for poor women from sub-Saharan Africa. She previously served as Chair of the Connecticut (CT) State Service Council for the American Red Cross, doing extensive fundraising for the first US program to train high school student leaders in HIV-AIDS Peer Education. Luci has also served as trustee at her alma mater Simmons University, (BA, History and Management), and chaired their Development Committee. She also created a “Leadership Council” of alumnae business leaders that provided financial support, mentoring program for undergraduate seniors, and connections to funding sources. She currently serves as Honorary Trustee. She also is recipient of the Simmons Alumnae Service Award. Other past board roles include CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse, St. Petersburg, FL), Chair, Boulder Community Health’s Patient-Family Advisory Council, and EFAA (Emergency Family Assistance Association), Boulder, CO, and Network of Executive Women (CPG/Retail Industry). Currently she is board member of WISE (Women Impacting Storebrand Excellence) for the Store Brands industry and continues as a leadership volunteer with Street Business School and Emergency Family Assistance Association. On the P&G Alumni Foundation board Luci serves as co-chair of the Chapter Synergies Committee and member of the Fundraising Committee.

Maria Taricco

Maria Taricco – Co-Chair Marketing Sub-Committee

Maria began her volunteer service with the Foundation 10+ years ago, assisting in the early Feasibility & Planning Study. Most recently, Maria has served on the Mar/Comm committee, taking on a leadership with a key focus on social media content. She is also co-chairing the emerging Ambassadors/Marketing sub-committee.  The Foundation is excited for her expanded role on the Board. 

Maria is currently retired and lives with her husband in London. With a BS in Biology from Royal Holloway in London, Maria accepted a position with P&G to help launch the Portugal subsidiary in 1990. She led the Market Research department and market entry strategies – working at P&G for 4 years based first in Portugal – and then transferring to Sweden to lead the Nordic Europe market entry strategies. She then spent 8 years in brand design and communications – including 4+ years at Design Bridge in London and Milan – serving as key Account Manager.  Upon meeting her Italian husband, Maria moved to Milan where she worked for Robilant Associati for the next 4 years, a Milan based brand consultancy. For the past 10 years Maria has collaborated on a free-lance basis with a Portuguese travel publication called Convida in editorial input and translation to English.

Deb Kielty

Deb Kielty – President & CEO Emeritus­­­, World Trade Center Institute

Board Chair, P&G Alumni Foundation

Deb Kielty joined the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) in Baltimore as President and ED in 2001, following a 20-year global business career with Procter & Gamble in Brand and General Management. With business travel taking her to 50 countries, Deb’s global experience spans both operational and strategic leadership roles. She is passionate about leveraging diverse and gender balanced teams to drive business, innovation, and global paths to prosperity for people in need.

While with P&G, Deb climbed the Brand Management ranks, with early roles in the U.S., Mexico, Italy and the U.K., culminating in roles as P&G Managing Director HABC Europe based in London, GM Worldwide Strategic Planning, and P&G Vice President Global Alliances & Licensing based in Maryland. With WTCI, Deb and her team served over 2000 clients and 600 visiting international professionals annually across the private and publics sectors. With its mission to empower globally minded leaders with new ideas and connections to drive growth and global good, WTCI revenues and clients increased year-after-year behind proprietary programs (eg. Women Spanning the Globe, EDGE Emerging & Developing Global Executives, PEP Professional Exchange Programs with USAID, and GPS Global Pathways for Students.) In Jan 2022, Deb assumed the role of President & CEO Emeritus at WTCI, and continues to serve alongside board members from UnderArmour, McCormick, T Rowe Price, Lockheed Martin, Ciena, Stanley Black & Decker, Johns Hopkins Medicine Int’l, Collins Aerospace, Ports America Chesapeake, and more.

Today, Deb leads the P&G Alumni Foundation, serving as Chairman of the Board since 2019 following a decade of service on the Grants Committee. As the charitable arm of the P&G Alumni Network comprised of 35,000 global alumni, the Foundation provides marginalized people in need with economic opportunities (job training, vocational skills, etc.) through strategic grant-making to charitable organizations with active P&G alumni involvement. Deb also serves on the Johns Hopkins Jhpiego Advisory Board and Baltimore Outreach Services homeless shelter for women and children. Past board service includes roles as President of Families with Children from China, Vice Chair for the P&G Alumni Network, Maryland Governor’s Sub-cabinet for Int’l Affairs, the Baltimore Council on Foreign Affairs and the University of Maryland Smith School of Business CIBER. She is the proud mother of two daughters and an active member of her Federal Hill neighborhood community. Deb enjoys travel, sports of all kinds (including golf and pickleball), film festivals and international foods.

Cinzia Gaeta

Cinzia Gaeta

Cinzia Gaeta retired from P&G in 2021, having worked in the legal department for 34 years, with her last assignment as VP Legal Counsel Southern Europe. Cinzia has a wealth of expertise having served as a member of the Italian Advertising Jury, Advertiser Union Legal Commission, Ministry of Equal Opportunities and a Lecturer at Pisa University, Sole 24 Ore Business School and LUMSA University. Cinzia graduated in Law at La Sapienza University in Rome.

Since retirement, Cinzia has taken on the role of Head Human Resources & Legal Affairs at Susan G. Komen Italia APS, BoD member at Seniores Italia ODV, P&G Alumni Italia and Metasociale Onlus.

Cinzia has significant Board experience having served on the BoD for Procter & Gamble, Italia, Fater S.p.A (P&G joint venture), Fameccanica (P&G joint venture) and Procter & Gamble Producto de Consumo Espana.

The P&G Alumni Foundation is thrilled to have Cinzia join the Board and bring her strong depth and breadth of Board expertise.

Aliyu Mohammed Ali

Aliyu Mohammed Ali – Founder, President and CEO – Ehfaaz
Ambassadors Chair, Marketing & Communications Committee

Currently Founder, President and CEO at Ehfaaz, a Dubai-based recycling startup with a mission to give used resources a new life.  Leveraging automation across all business lines, Aliyu and his team collaborate with FMCG companies to convert their organic waste to compost, obsolete cosmetics to car wash, and expired beverage liquids to ethanol.  He has broad experience working in Middle East & Africa Markets across the Consumer Goods, Logistics & Supply Chain, and Technology industries. Began professional career with P&G Dubai leaving after 4 four years as a Senior Purchases Manger overseeing the Strategic Sourcing and management of the company’s $500MM Travel & Expense Spend globally. Broadened skill set after leaving P&G in the startup world first with Danali and then with Fetchr.

A “Visionaries under 40” winner at the 2019 P&G Alumni Conference, he is regularly recognized for his adeptness at blending his deep technical know-how with his refined people management skills to identify the root cause of issues. Has the ability to offer refreshingly innovative solutions to complex problems in the businesses that he works with and the communities that he serves. Born and raised in Nigeria, in 2018, his startup donated two 40ft containers of medical equipment to a 750-bed General Hospital in the Boko Haram affected region of that country.

Richard J. Beagle

Richard J. Beagle – Treasurer & Grants Committee Member

Retired Independent School CFO (2010-2017)

Retired P&G Finance and External Business Development Manager (1979-2008)

Extensive financial management experience at P&G (Food & Beverage, Institutional, Paper, Cosmetics, Corporate Finance), coupled with significant experience in external business development (including technology and trademark licensing, both in- and out-).   Category Finance Manager for strategic business units as large as $2 billion.  Strong expertise and track record in financial planning, forecasting, budget control, strategy development and deployment, financial analysis, and accounting.  Demonstrated results both in maximizing value for P&G intellectual property and acquiring external technologies to accelerate revenue growth. 

Following retirement from his nearly 30-year career at P&G, Rick became Chief Financial Officer for Sandy Spring Friends School, an independent Quaker school in the Baltimore/Washington area, where building a culture of philanthropy was a key focus area.  He later retired from this position in 2017.

Rick has enjoyed a long association with the P&G Alumni Foundation, having served on the Grants Committee since 2010.

Rick received an HAB degree in Classics and an MBA in Finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He is married with one child and resides in Baltimore, Maryland and on the shore of the Delaware Bay.

Sarah Woods

Sarah Woods – Founder & President of VenturePotential
Executive Director, P&G Alumni Foundation

Senior executive marketing professional and nonprofit leader with 14 years at P&G in Marketing and Finance. Valued as a team-builder, spokesperson, fundraiser, and friend-raiser, with significant strategic and financial acumen.

Worked at P&G from 1990-2004 in Hunt Valley on Cosmetics International, Cover Girl (expansion into China and the Baltics, licensing growth, in-store merchandising re-launch, and brand management), the shutdown of Clarion, the acquisition of Max Factor, and Cosmetics financial forecasting and analysis. Other work experience includes marketing for a cybersecurity contractor, private school, and biotechnology nonprofit. Continuous learner with an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business and a BS in Honors Biochemistry and BA in Chemistry at North Carolina State University as a J.T. Caldwell Scholar.

Extensive Board experience with The Family Tree as a Board member, Marketing Co-chair, former Board President, and former gala chair. Also, serves The Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc as a Board member and Co-chair of the Strategic Partnership Committee. Co-Founded Essential Hugs, a grassroots nonprofit to support essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Marketing Advisor to the Women in Cybersecurity Critical Infrastructure Community.

An avid traveler, paddleboarder (often with her yellow Labrador onboard), sailor, slow runner to great music, pickleball beginner, mother of two sons, and happy gatherer of friends and family. Daily striving to be a force for good.
