The P&G Alumni Foundation is proud to announce the launch of the Francie Garber Pepper Grant for Women’s Empowerment – our first named grant established in honor of Francie and her unwavering commitment to empowering women around the world. Francie was a passionate force for women’s rights, a founding supporter of the P&G Alumni Women’s Leadership Forum, and a champion of the P&G Alumni Foundation from the very beginning. Whether hosting our Foundation’s first “fun fundraiser” in Rome or becoming our first Leadership Circle donor alongside her husband, John Pepper, Francie Pepper exemplified the spirit of giving back. This grant honors her commitment to helping women unlock opportunity and leadership in their lives. Together, we can continue and build upon Francie’s spark for empowerment.
The Francie Garber Pepper Grant will be awarded annually and in perpetuity to a qualified U.S. or internationally registered non-profit dedicated to advancing the lives of women through empowerment and opportunity. As with all of our P&G Alumni Foundation grant awards, each project will have the support of one or more P&G alums working in a meaningful way within the grant recipient non-profit organization.
John Pepper announced the new Francie Garber Pepper Grant for Women’s Empowerment during the P&G Alumni 2025 Global Conference held in Berlin in June. Close to 500 alumni were present. The first recipient, Aruna Project, was announced at the Cincinnati Night of Gratitude event held in October 2025. Aruna Project’s mission is to create lifelong freedom for Survivors of human trafficking by providing sustainable employment and holistic care. Congratulations to the Aruna Project and all the grantee winners! Please enjoy these two videos.

“Don’t let anybody tell you no. If you want to do it, you can do it. Just put your mind to it, and forget what they are saying. Do it, and it works.”
