Deb Kielty joined the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) in Baltimore as President and Executive Director in 2001, following a 20-year career with Procter & Gamble. As head of WTCI, Deb and her team serve over 2000 clients and 600 visiting international professionals annually across the private and publics sectors. Prior to WTCI, Deb served as VP Global Alliances & Licensing (1999 – 2001) and GM Worldwide Strategic Planning (1992 – 1999) for P&G Beauty Care, based in Maryland. Deb also served as Managing Director, P&G Europe (1988 – 1991) based first in Rome and later in London. Prior to that, Deb served as P&G Mexico Brand Manager and Associate Ad Manager (1983 – 1988) based in Mexico City and as Brand Asst/ABM on Luvs and Bounty. She has traveled and conducted business in over 50 countries and speaks several languages. Deb holds a Masters Degree from Thunderbird Graduate School and a Bachelor’s degree from U.C. Santa Barbara.
Since joining WTCI, a non-profit educational organization focused on driving international collaboration and business growth, WTCI revenues and clients served have increased 3-fold. WTCI’s best-in-class business programs include its Women Spanning the Globe Leadership program, the EDGE program for Emerging & Developing Global Executives, its PEP Professional Exchange Programs for International Visitors and its International Business Leadership Awards program. Deb serves on several non-profit boards, including the Baltimore Council on Foreign Affairs, Johns Hopkins University Affiliate Jhpiego Board of Advisors, the Maryland Governor’s Sub-Cabinet for International Affairs and Christ Church Foundation. She has two daughters adopted from China and is past President of Families with Children from China. She is active in her neighborhood community and oversees the Deb Kielty Family Foundation.
