Works in Cipla, one of the largest Generic Pharmaceutical companies in the world, as CFO and Director – Business Development for South Africa & Sub-Saharan Africa. Also the COO of the high-profile Joint Venture with Teva (world’s largest generic pharmaceutical company), and sits on the Board of Directors of multiple entities in SA and Uganda, some with external shareholders and PE funds. Before joining Cipla, worked for Procter & Gamble in Finance & Strategy where he was a consistent top performer, his last few roles being Deputy CFO of India operations and Regional CFO of a Business Unit in AAI. A previous entrepreneur who scaled an award winning start-up to a 12 city, 60 employee operation – and was recognized by World Bank-IFC globally as a High Impact Entrepreneur. As a consultant, advised blue chips like Nestle, Cadbury, Kraft Foods, J&J etc. on Finance Transformation and action plan for Finance to go beyond bean counting.

As an expatriate manager, lived and worked in Japan, Singapore, Australia, Philippines, India and South Africa. An MBA from IIM-L (one of the top business schools in India) and completed an advanced course on entrepreneurship from University of Chicago-Booth School of Business. Also received an Engineering degree from NIT, Trichy, India. Sits on the investment committee of Futureneers VC fund, and writes extensively for various magazines and newspapers. Passionate about travelling (been to more than 100 cities in 50 countries), reading (maintains a blog on Top 100 books ever written), coaching students (offers guest lectures in top b-schools in SA, India, Singapore and Dubai) and adventure.
