Experienced legal and tax executive, with career advising corporation and fiduciaries on executive compensation and broad-based benefits and tax strategy and design, investments, and compliance. Joined MetLife in January of 2017 and currently serves as Director of Employee Benefits and Payroll Tax and Corporate Counsel for its Brighthouse Financial business. Prior to MetLife, worked at Campbell Soup Company for four years, as Senior Counsel and was a member of the Global Leadership Team. Born and raised in Taiwan and joined Procter & Gamble in 1999 after completing law school education in the U.S. During career with P&G, provided comprehensive legal counsel on employee benefits and implemented compliance programs to reflect ever evolving legislative changes, which impacting more than two billion dollars of benefits portfolio. Actively involved in many major corporate transformations, acquisitions and divestures, including the acquisition and integration of Gillette, divestures of pharmaceutical businesses as well as Folgers, just to name a few.
Fluent in English and Mandarin and a regular speaker at conferences addressing employee benefits and taxation topics. Previously served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chief Legal Officer for the Jack Rubenstein Foundation for Developmental Disorders, which is a private foundation in Cincinnati, Ohio. Also served as a Director of the Board and Member of the Advisory Committee of Employers Council of Flexible Compensation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the maintenance and expansion of private employer benefit programs on a tax-advantaged basis. Jennifer, her husband, Thierry Guastavino, and son, Hugo, reside in Moorestown N.J.
